Are you passionate about designing architecture at the enterprise level? Do you want to be part of a Digital Architecture team that is transforming the future of banking? Can you champion an agile, Scrum-based working environment? If so, we may have the right opportunity for you within the Digital Architecture team in Łódź.

You will work closely with delivery and business teams across the organization to translate high-level concepts, designs, and user stories into robust architectural solution. You will support department management in achieving both quantitative and qualitative targets and assist other units within the Group Division, and beyond, on relevant cross-functional topics.

You will be accountable for the activities and performance of your team in pursuit of these objectives and will assume disciplinary leadership responsibility for the assigned team members.

What you will be doing on the daily basis? 👇

• Contributing to a cohesive vision for a user‑friendly solution for the software product repository (Architecture App)
• Defining, implementing, and maintaining application and reference solution designs
• Analyzing solution patterns, identifying primary components and subsystems, and collaborating with the internal framework team
• Participating in product design and implementation
• Addressing migration challenges and enhancing the tech stack by developing innovative solutions
• Documenting and testing completed work
• Ensuring the overall quality of the product

Alternative tasks:

• Participating in or managing cross-cutting projects and tasks within the Group Division, for example as part of strategic initiatives
• Fostering constructive, customer- and service-oriented collaboration with internal clients and departments
• Promoting initiative, motivation, teamwork, and service orientation within your team by setting clear expectations and providing timely, transparent information
  

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👌

• At least 5 years of relevant experience or proof of another adequate qualification
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Framework and other J2EE technologies and frameworks
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design/architecture to analyze business requirements and design solutions
• Good knowledge of containerization concepts
• Good knowledge of Javascript/React to develop REST APIs based on the internal coding standards and guidelines
  
• Good knowledge of Maven, TeamCity, Git
• Good knowledge of relational databases (PosgreSQL)
• Basic knowledge of DevOps solutions in daily developer’s work

Nice to have:

• General understanding of the Enterprise Architecture topics
  
• Basic knowledge of JIRA / Confluence
• Basic knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Basic knowledge of Secure Coding Practices

Description of the cluster:

Digital Architecture is the central enterprise architecture unit of Commerzbank AG. We define the target architecture, provide guidance to the cluster delivery organization, and are actively involved in current change projects. The A‑App and Architecture Governance team develops and operates the central software product inventory, which provides insights into more than 4,000 software products used across the bank. Our team is based in both Frankfurt and Łódź.
