About the role
What you will be expected to do:
1. Agent Recruitment & Onboarding
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new retailers and ATD Agents within the assigned territory.
- Train agents on smartphone product knowledge, EasyBuy processes, pricing, repayment structures, and sales procedures.
- Ensure all newly onboarded agents understand Sun King’s sales and customer service standards.
- Support agents with onboarding materials, product demonstrations, and activation guidance.
2. Phone Sales & Territory Growth
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly smartphone sales targets within the territory.
- Increase sales volumes across all phone models through active field engagement and retailer support.
- Monitor agent sales performance and implement action plans for underperforming agents.
- Ensure agents actively promote PayGo Phones and financing options to customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and high-potential sales areas within the territory.
3. Portfolio Quality & Collections Support
- Ensure proper customer registration and PayGo activation processes are followed by all agents.
- Monitor repayment trends and support agents in reducing default risks.
- Follow up on repayment issues and assist in resolving customer concerns affecting collections.
- Coordinate warranty and replacement support processes to improve customer experience and portfolio quality.
4. Trade Activations & Market Development
- Plan and execute local market activations including roadshows, market storms, and door-to-door campaigns.
- Work closely with the marketing team to drive brand visibility and customer awareness.
- Identify strategic locations for temporary sales activations and promotional activities.
- Support execution of sales campaigns and promotional initiatives within the territory.
5. Agent Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with retailers and ATD Agents.
- Conduct regular field visits and one-on-one meetings with agents to review performance and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure agents maintain adequate stock levels and proper branding visibility at their locations.
- Motivate and recognise top-performing agents to improve engagement and retention.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Update daily sales, stock, collections, and field activity trackers accurately.
- Prepare weekly territory performance reports covering sales performance, active agents, onboarding status, and operational updates.
- Escalate operational challenges, stock shortages, fraud risks, and repayment concerns to the PayGo Phones Sales Manager.
- Ensure timely submission of all required reports and documentation.
You might be a strong candidate if you have:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in field sales, FMCG, telecom, mobile devices, microfinance, or related industries.
- Experience managing agents, retailers, or distribution networks is an added advantage.
- A strong understanding of smartphone sales and PayGo financing models is preferred.
