About the role
Position Summary:
The Assistant Fleet Tracking will be responsible for supporting the daily tracking and coordination of the company’s fleet. This role ensures that vehicles are monitored in real time, drivers follow scheduled routes, and logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor fleet activities using GPS tracking systems and fleet management software
- Ensure timely dispatch and route adherence of all delivery vehicles
- Communicate with drivers to provide route updates or assistance during transit
- Assist in maintaining accurate vehicle movement logs and reporting anomalies
- Track delays, breakdowns, or route deviations and escalate issues as needed
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule vehicle servicing
- Support route planning and scheduling for improved efficiency
- Maintain daily fleet tracking reports and performance summaries
- Ensure compliance with company transport and safety policies
- Assist in optimizing fleet utilization and cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
- Diploma /Bachelor degree in logistics or transportation
- 1–2 years of experience in fleet tracking, dispatch, or logistics coordination preferred
- Proficiency in GPS tracking systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed
