Assistant Manager - Microsoft Azure + Software Engineering | Hybrid - Makati

Roles & responsibilities 

• Implementing backend services and applications using Python/Java
• Build responsive and dynamic front-end interfaces using Angular or React. 
• Building the server-side logic of web applications, including APIs and database interactions
• Maintain technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in the area of agile system development and public cloud
• Connecting applications with other services, APIs, and databases. 
• Ensuring code quality through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Continuously learn, work within teams, and implement solutions with minimal supervision.

Educational qualifications 

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent
• Relevant Azure Certifications (minimum AZ-900)

Work experience

• 7-10 years of professional experience in Python/Java Full Stack Development
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Explore and evaluate Generative AI techniques for potential integration into existing software systems.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

• Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its standard library
• Experience with web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Manage DevOps solution across the lifecycle (Plan -> Execute -> Operate) 
• Strong working experience with DevOps, Agile, and Design/Implementation within CI/CD and Secure Software Engineering Best Practices. 
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred technical & functional skills 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is often preferred.
• Experience with any front-end framework such as Angular, React, Vue.js, etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
