About the role

Responsibilities:

1. Material Receipt & Inward Processing

  • Handle end-to-end receipt of all gate-inward materials.
  • Carry out physical verification of incoming materials against delivery documents.
  • Report and escalate discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or wrong materials.
  • Ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing and follow-up for approvals.

2. Material Storage & Locationing

  • Plan and assign proper storage locations for all materials.
  • Ensure safe, systematic, and 5S-compliant storage practices.
  • Work on space planning for new project raw materials and optimize storage usage.

3. Inventory Control & Management

  • Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct periodic cycle counts and support perpetual inventory audits.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO adherence for all materials, especially chemicals and paints.

4. SAP & System Activities

  • Perform SAP transactions related to inward, outward, GRN, and gate pass creation.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports through SAP and other portals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with audit requirements.

5. Material Issue, Return & Disposal

  • Manage timely material issue to production as per pick lists / reservations.
  • Handle material returns and update stocks accurately in SAP.
  • Coordinate scrapping processes following approval and documentation norms.

6. KPI Management

  • Monitor store KPIs such as GRN TAT, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and line feeding performance.
  • Prepare and display daily/weekly/monthly KPI dashboards.

7. Chemical, Paint & Sealant Handling

  • Maintain proper storage conditions for paints, sealants, and chemicals.
  • Ensure MSDS compliance and safe handling procedures.
  • Monitor shelf life and batch tracking where required.

8. Routine Store Operations

  • Support all day-to-day activities in RM store as per operational plan.
  • Coordinate with purchase, quality, production, and logistics teams for smooth flow of materials.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, 5S, and company policies within the store.

    Hardware Store Management and Control

    1. Receipt and Storage of Hardware:
      All hardware items are received, verified, and stored systematically under the Warehouse Management (WM) system, ensuring proper bin allocation, traceability, and controlled storage.

    2. Handling of Tools:
      Tools are handled as per defined procedures, including receipt, storage, WM tracking, and issue through SAP, ensuring full accountability and tool life monitoring.

    3. Perpetual Inventory:
      Regular perpetual inventory checks are carried out for hardware, spares, and tools to maintain accurate stock levels, identify variances, and ensure timely replenishment.
