This role will assist in overseeing daily construction operations, contractor coordination, field activities, and project documentation within complex public-sector construction environments.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The ideal candidate has strong field experience supporting heavy civil or transportation projects and is comfortable coordinating with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and client stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1.4;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="line-height: 1.4;"><span style="font-family: impact, sans-serif; color: rgb(17, 32, 61); font-size: 24pt;"><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Support the Resident Engineer with daily oversight of active construction operations on transportation and infrastructure projects.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate with contractors, field inspectors, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders regarding construction activities, schedules, and project deliverables.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Monitor construction progress to verify work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with review of RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, schedules, and other construction documentation.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in field inspections, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and project walkthroughs.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Track contractor performance, field issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions while supporting timely project resolution efforts.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Support schedule monitoring, quantity verification, cost tracking, and project controls coordination activities.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Maintain accurate project records, reports, meeting minutes, and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate with operations personnel and project teams to minimize impacts to ongoing transportation services and field operations where applicable.</li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with project closeout activities including punch list coordination, turnover documentation, and final inspections.</li> </ul> <h1 style="line-height: 1.4;"><br><span style="font-family: impact, sans-serif; color: rgb(17, 32, 61); font-size: 24pt;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">5+ years of experience supporting transportation, heavy civil, rail, transit, bridge, or infrastructure construction projects.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working on public-sector infrastructure programs strongly preferred.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with construction management procedures, field inspection coordination, contract administration, and project documentation processes.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in active construction environments.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software platforms.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working in active rail or transit environments is a plus.</span></li> <li style="line-height: 1.4; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">EIT, NICET, OSHA certifications, or related industry credentials are desirable.</span></li> </ul> <p style="line-height: 1.4;"><br><span style="color: rgb(208, 152, 71); font-size: 12pt;"><em>Join us as we redefine excellence in engineering and construction management, shaping tomorrow's infrastructure landscape with innovation and precision.
