Athey Kids Coordinator - Riverside

Position Summary: The Athey Kids Coordinator - Riverside is responsible for the Athey Kids ministry experience at Athey Creek Church - Riverside. This includes working with staff and volunteers to ensure the children’s ministry is successful during weekend and Wednesday services. This role performs administrative functions in scheduling and keeping systems up to date and requires significant people leadership and interpersonal skills. The Athey Kids Coordinator will serve as an encourager and trainer for Athey Kids volunteers.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Agree to Athey Creek doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in What We Believe/Vision statement
  
• Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures
• Leadership abilities including organization, delegation, administration, and interpersonal relationships
• Ability to work well with parents, volunteers, church staff and children
• Takes initiative and seeks to improve the ministry continually
• Competent in computer skills
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stress well
• Effective communication skills

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the children’s ministry during services on weekends and Wednesdays, including being present and available during services
• Recruit, schedule, train, and disciple volunteers
• Work with the director and program leads to help manage Athey Kids logistics, including schedules, vendors, and supplies
• Provide leadership and support for large events
• Maintain ongoing quality communications with the children’s ministry team, volunteers, and parents
• Develop an annual budget and manage funds for the fiscal year
• Evaluate age-appropriate program materials, equipment, supplies, and space for Athey Kids ministry
• Work as a team with ACC staff, always edifying one another
• Other duties as assigned
