Summary:

The Sports Athlete Executive will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of AYBL’s expanding athlete programme, with a specific focus on Golf and Running categories as new and growing areas of the business. This role will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with credible athletes, ambassadors, and talent within both sports, helping establish AYBL’s presence within these communities whilst driving brand awareness and long-term commercial growth. The role requires someone with a genuine passion and understanding of sport culture, athlete partnerships, and emerging talent within these spaces.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and recruit relevant athletes, ambassadors, and talent within the Golf and Running space, helping grow AYBL’s presence across these key categories.
  • Build relationships with professional athletes, rising talent, coaches, and influential individuals within each sport who align with AYBL’s brand positioning and long-term growth strategy.
  • Manage relationships with athletes, ensuring a seamless and premium experience across all communication touchpoints including email, phone, video calls, and in-person meetings.
  • Work with athletes, managers, and agencies to negotiate long and short-term partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial commercial agreements and deliverables that support brand objectives.
  • Support the development of athlete partnerships focused on product seeding, campaign activity, events, photoshoots, and wider brand activations across Golf and Running.
  • Communicate all new product launches, category developments, campaign opportunities, events, and brand initiatives to athletes, ensuring they are fully informed and engaged with the brand.
  • Track athlete performance by reviewing brand visibility, campaign performance, content creation, engagement, and wider commercial impact to assess partnership value.
  • Maintain athlete databases, partnership trackers, and internal reporting documents, ensuring all athlete information and contract details remain accurate and up to date.
  • Work cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Social, Product, and Events teams to execute campaigns and maximise athlete partnerships across the business.
  • Continuously research emerging athletes, sporting trends, communities, and key opportunities within Golf and Running, helping AYBL establish credibility and long-term presence within both markets.
  • Support the wider strategy for expanding AYBL beyond core fitness, helping drive awareness and growth across new sports-focused categories.

Person Specification

  • Will have a minimum of 1+ years working in a similar partnerships, talent, athlete, or marketing role
  • Strong interest and passion for Golf, Running, and wider sports culture
  • Good understanding of athlete partnerships, talent management, and sports communities
  • Passion for identifying emerging talent and new partnership opportunities
  • Strong understanding of social media, athlete branding, and sports marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident, self-motivated, and proactive
