We're looking for an experienced Business Partner to join our Auckland team and drive growth across our transport, container, warehousing, and logistics services.
This role is focused on winning new business, developing strategic customer relationships, and helping Mainstream expand its presence across the Auckland market. Reporting to the Auckland Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, securing new customers, and connecting businesses with the freight and logistics solutions they need to succeed.

Working closely with Strategic Partners, Operations, and support teams, you'll play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through to successful implementation.
The key responsibilities of this position are:
- Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the Auckland region
- Grow revenue across Mainstream's transport, container, warehousing, logistics, and related service offerings
- Generate leads, develop sales opportunities, and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
- Take a consultative approach to understanding customer challenges and developing tailored freight and logistics solutions
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial solutions for prospective clients
- Present confidently to decision-makers and stakeholders across a range of industries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key business contacts
- Support the onboarding and implementation of new customer accounts
- Work collaboratively with Strategic Partners, Business Partners, and operational teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in networking events, industry functions, and business development initiatives
- Maintain accurate sales reporting, forecasting, CRM records, and pipeline management
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a business development, sales, or customer-facing commercial role
- Proven success in generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Experience within freight, logistics, transport, warehousing, supply chain, or a related industry highly regarded
- Knowledge of the New Zealand freight, logistics, and transport sector preferred
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs, pricing, and profitability
- Experience preparing proposals, business cases, and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management abilities
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
