Job Title: Lead Automation Engineer - Senior
Location: Remote / Asturias, Spain (partially remote until 2026/2027)
Industry: Battery Component Manufacturing for EVs
Overview:
Join a cutting-edge project to develop a state-of-the-art factory producing sustainable, high-performance battery materials for electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the automation team in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning factory systems.
- Ensure seamless integration with other engineering disciplines.
- Develop maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
- Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical support during equipment procurement.
Requirements:
- Technical: Master’s in Automation/Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in automation, expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial tools.
- Non-Technical: Strong leadership and project management, fluent in Spanish and English, structured and proactive approach.
- Certifications: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; SCC/VCA certification required.
Details:
- Contract: Long-term (initially until 2025).
- Travel: Up to 10% (mainly within Spain and internationally).
- Rate: Market-competitive (all-in).
- Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered).
