<p>PayPay Card Corporation was established in 2021 to provide users a FinTech service that is more accessible and convenient compared to previous credit cards and credit services, by integrating with the PayPay payment platform, which has surpassed 70 million users since its launch (as of July 2025).</p>

<h2><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Job Description</strong></span></h2>
<p><span data-sheets-root="1">At PayPay Card, we prioritize product quality to provide a seamless, safe, and secure financial experience to millions of users. <br>We are seeking a full-stack QA engineer who can perform both manual and automated testing in the role of SDET. This position requires an individual who is strong in automating backend services, APIs, and microservices, while also being flexible in manual testing such as exploratory testing and usability verification.You will contribute to improving the quality of the entire PayPay Card system by formulating quality strategies, improving QA processes, and mentoring the team.</span></p>
<h3><strong><br>Main Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p><span data-sheets-root="1"><strong>Automated Testing</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Design, develop, and operate test automation frameworks for batch processing, backend services, APIs (REST/gRPC), and microservices</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Build automated regression and functional test suites</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Gradle)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Verify distributed architectures using mock/stub strategies</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Promote modernization of test strategies for legacy systems (e.g., CORBA)</span></li>
<li>Implement logging, debugging, and reporting (Allure, SLF4J, etc.)</li>
</ul>
<p><span data-sheets-root="1"><strong>Manual Testing</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Plan, design, execute, and sign-off tests for complex functions in the credit card lifecycle</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Detect usability and functional defects through exploratory testing</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Ensure and improve quality through specification reviews and quality improvement activities</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Promote quality improvements in collaboration with developers, product managers, and designers</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span data-sheets-root="1"><strong>Process Improvement / Collaboration</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Standardizing QA best practices and expanding them throughout the organization</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Proposing the introduction of new QA tools and frameworks</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Mentoring and guidance for junior QA engineers</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Analyzing defects and production issues, identifying root causes, and developing preventative measures<br></span></li>
</ul>
<h3><strong><br>Required Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">5+ years of experience in QA or test automation</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Development/automation skills in object-oriented languages, primarily Java</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience with backend/API automation (REST Assured, gRPC, etc.)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience using test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and AssertJ</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience using CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Gradle, etc.)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience using mocking frameworks such as Mockito</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience with automation using scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Deep understanding of QA processes, test planning and design methods, and bug management processes</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience working in an agile development environment</span></li>
</ul>

<h3><strong><br>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3>

<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience automating batch jobs</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience in QA of legacy systems (e.g., CORBA)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience in QA of mission-critical systems</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience in QA in the financial services, payment, and credit card industries</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience using container environments such as Docker/Kubernetes</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and Gatling</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Experience using QA management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, TestLink)</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">QA-related certifications such as ISTQB</span></li>
<li><span data-sheets-root="1">Business-level Japanese language skills (preferably)<br></span></li>
