Overview

About The Role:

 

The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for managing the financial and insurance components of new and used vehicle sales (cars, trucks, and SUVs).

 

This role structures deals, secures financing, and presents warranty and protection products, ensuring a seamless, transparent, and customer-focused experience. The F&I Manager works closely with Sales, lenders, and internal teams to finalize deals while maintaining compliance and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Partnering with Sales to finalize deals and transition customers through the finance process
  • Structuring and securing financing through banks, credit unions, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) lenders
  • Presenting and selling Finance & Insurance (F&I) products, including warranties and protection plans
  • Preparing and finalizing contracts, loan agreements, and lease documentation with accuracy
  • Ensuring compliance with provincial regulations, privacy legislation, and dealership policies
  • Submitting and monitoring deals for funding, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Building relationships with lenders to optimize approvals, rates, and deal structures
  • Conducting needs analysis to recommend appropriate financial products
  • Tracking performance metrics including product penetration, gross profit, and funding timelines
  • Delivering a professional and transparent customer experience to support retention and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

What You Bring:

  • Experience as an Automotive F&I Manager, Business Manager, or Finance Manager in a dealership
  • Strong knowledge of automotive lending, deal structuring, and finance products
  • Experience with DMS (Dealer Management Systems), CRM tools, and lender portals
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accuracy
