Autonomy - Computer Vision Engineer

We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.</p> <p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p> <p>The Autonomy Computer Vision Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms to be deployed onboard Neros drones. This role involves designing, testing, and optimizing algorithms for real-time operation in autonomous systems, ensuring high performance and reliability in diverse environments. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including robotics engineers, software developers, and hardware engineers, to integrate vision-based solutions into autonomous drone platforms.</p> <p><strong>You should have the following</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in computer vision, robotics, or related fields</li> <li>Proven experience in developing algorithms for real-time systems, preferably for autonomous platforms</li> <li>Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++</li> <li>Expertise in computer vision libraries and tools like OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar</li> <li>Experience with SLAM, object detection, and image segmentation techniques</li> <li>Familiarity with UAVs and drone systems</li> <li>Knowledge of real-time system constraints</li> <li>Proficiency in debugging, testing, and validating algorithms in simulation and real-world environments</li> </ul> <p><strong>US Salary Range</strong></p> <p>$150,000 - $200,000 USD</p> <p>The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
