<p><strong>WHO WE ARE:</strong></p>
<p>EOS IT Solutions is a leading logistics, IT, Network and global video collaboration company. We support a large number of tech companies providing innovative solutions – globally. We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, collaborative and committed individual to fill our Network Field technician position within our Global Network team based in Singapore</p>
<p>The AV and Network Technician will support the Project Management and Network Engineering team to carry out a best-in-class service in the deployment of networking hardware and AV technology for Global customers.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</strong></p>
<p><strong>NETWORK</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Installing network hardware, components and cabling</li>
<li>Trouble shooting and resolving issues with network cabling, copper and fibre.</li>
<li>Inspecting and testing copper and fibre optic lines to ensure they adhere to industry standards.</li>
<li>Ability to rack and stack networking hardware within onsite and off-site racks in accordance with requirements.</li>
<li>Ability to provide technical support through various means of communication</li>
<li>Collaborate easily with network engineers and project managers</li>
<li>Assisting network engineers with network design, implementation and problem resolution</li>
<li>Be able to cable networking rooms and racks to data centre cabling requirements and standards</li>
<li>Create site survey reports on MDF and IDF readiness including power & cooling and rack status.</li>
<li>Perform both Pre and Post Wifi surveys using industry standard software and equipment.</li>
<li>Meet quality, productivity, turnaround time and other expectations</li>
<li>Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the company and within the competency of the post-holder, including assisting on Audio Visual Team deployments when not assigned to Network deployments The job description should not be regarded as restrictive or definitive but as a broad guide to the demands of the position.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>AUDIO VISUAL</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage sub-contractors – check the quality of work & track their progress against allocated tasks</li>
<li>Liaise with the client and provide updates</li>
<li>Install and de-install AV systems across client sites in a commercial setting</li>
<li>Configure endpoints and supporting infrastructure</li>
<li>Conduct room audits to ensure optimal technology performance for various sizes of meeting room</li>
<li>Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and spaces ready for use</li>
<li>Identify and resolve hardware faults and system failures</li>
<li>Complete post-installation assessments and documentation</li>
<li>Carry out on-site User Acceptance Testing and software upgrades</li>
<li>Act as a technical escalation point, providing solutions for ongoing issues</li>
<li>Collaborate with EOS teams to deliver AV services in line with SLAs and client expectations</li>
<li>Communicate project updates and reports to management</li>
<li>Document hardware failures and manage Break/Fix and RMA requests</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>KEY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Good experience of networking hardware – routers, servers, switches, PDU’s, copper and fibre optic cabling.</li>
<li>Ability to terminate Straight through & Rollover RJ45 copper cables</li>
<li>Hands on experience with major manufactures of routers, switches and wireless.</li>
<li>Proven experience in AV/Video Conferencing system installation</li>
<li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to read technical network diagrams, schematics and port maps</li>
<li>Ability to interpret rack build layouts and bills of materials</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role</li>
<li>Good understanding of networking concepts and a desire to build skills in this area</li>
<li>Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to diagnose basic technical problems and find the root cause.</li>
<li>Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment</li>
<li>Previous years’ experience in Network Engineering Deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment.</li>
<li>Must be available to work outside of normal business hours</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>GREAT TO HAVE:</strong></p>
<p>CTS EDUCATION: Preferred: (CNET) CDCTP / CCNA / JNCIA/ CompTIA or equivalent.</p>
<p><strong>N.B* Travel is a key requisite for this position; it accounts for 95% of all deployments undertaken. Most travel will be within India but there will also be some international work.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Applicants must be willing to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice</li>
<li>You must also hold a valid passport or be in the process of procuring one</li>
<li>You must also hold a valid driving license or be in the process of procuring one EXPERIENCE LEVEL: REQUIRED: 2+ years Network deployment / Data Centre experience</li>
<li>Fluent in spoken and written English</li>
</ul>
