<div class="content-intro">   </div>Summary Manufactures and installs aircraft wire harness assemblies and components using a variety of engineering data, tools and equipment in a timely and efficient fashion while ensuring quality standards are attained. This is a temporary position employed through an agency.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wire diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the client and Greenpoint. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Modify, repair, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft installs in specialized areas of aircraft. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Properly utilize and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Accurately document work performed as set forth by Greenpoint and customer maintenance programs.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and standard practices to include marking of wires and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Installs wire harnesses on final product assemblies such as interior cabinet assemblies, periphery assemblies, circuit breaker component panels, etc.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Troubleshoot issues, replace, or repair parts, test, making necessary adjustments. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Help with general clean-up of work area. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Regular and prompt attendance. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Effective and appropriate conduct with coworkers. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Performs other duties as assigned. </li> </ul>   Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, accepts constructive criticism/feedback and changes approach or method to best fit the situation.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Communications - Expresses ideas and thoughts effectively in verbal and written form, exhibits good listening and comprehension, keeps others informed and uses appropriate communication methods.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Dependability - Responds to requests for service and assistance, follows instruction and responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions and doing the best job possible, keeps commitments, and maintains reliable attendance.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Initiative - Sets and achieves challenging goals, demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles, measures self against standard of excellence, recognizes and acts on opportunities, and takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and puts success of team above own interests.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Work Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, displays commitment to excellence, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, applies feedback to improve performance, and monitors own work to ensure quality.</li> </ul>   Summary of Education, Experience & Certification Minimum two years’ avionics experience preferred.  Familiar with the Boeing Standard Wiring Practices Manual. Airframe (A) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License a plus but not required. This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.  US Citizen Required - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to communicate in English (read, write and verbally communicate).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Comprehensive knowledge of the techniques, processes and procedures of aircraft wire harness manufacturing.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to research, identify and operate proper tools for the task assigned.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work with repetitive stripping and crimping equipment.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Exhibits hand-eye coordination/skills with a high degree of accuracy.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to interpret and understand engineering data.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to read measuring instruments.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to operate wire-marking machine and labeling machine.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to design and build shop aids.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to assemble electrical wiring and components on cabinet, panel or sheet metal assemblies.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work overtime as required.</li> </ul>   Physical Requirements <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to reach overhead.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Full range of motion with both hands.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Can work in a stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas.</li> </ul>   Personal Tool Requirements   NOTE: Although the company provides some tools, the electrical production of Aerospace Interiors and assemblies is a highly developed skill that requires many personal tools enabling an individual to construct quality items in a productive time frame.  Additional tools may be required.   The minimum required tools must be obtained within 3 months after initial employment.   Minimum Requirements   Tool Box                                   Pliers Medium Needle Nose                   Small & Medium Vise Grips Utility Knife                               SM., MED., LG., Wire Cutters                 Small Wrenches (Ignition Set) Scale (6 inch)                            Channel Lock Pliers                               Large Wrenches 3/8-9/16 Tape Measure (10') Dec/Frac     Screw Driver Set (Straight) SM.-LG.       Allen Wrenches (Small Set) Pliers (Regular)                          Screw Driver Set (Phillips) #1,#2,#3        Magnifying Glass Pliers Fine Needle Nose             Small Jewelers Screwdriver Set             Flashlight<div class="content-conclusion">About Greenpoint Technologies  Greenpoint delivers nose-to-tail VIP Jet aircraft interiors for private clients and Heads-of-State.  We are proud to be known in the aerospace industry for our design and engineering innovation, award-winning company culture, and on-time delivery of our beautiful products.
