<p><strong>Job Title: AVP Finance Operations</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Remote</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>The Assistant Vice President Finance Operations owns creating and executing the strategic and operational vision of the Finance Operations functions.&nbsp;&nbsp; You transform the art of the possible into reality by thinking big, bold and across boundaries.&nbsp; Your strategic vision drives process improvements, including the strategic use of outsourcing and technology, to enhance scalability and performance.&nbsp; By leveraging economies of scale, standardizing processes, and optimizing delivery across a mix of internal and external resources you ensure high-quality, reliable data for decision-making.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Finance Operations functions.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement, consistency, and operational excellence across Finance Operations capabilities while promoting efficiency, innovation, and scalability. Consider the strategic use of outsourcing for straight through processing functions.</li> <li>Serve as a key partner to business leaders, leveraging cross-functional expertise to strengthen operational delivery and organizational performance.</li> <li>Ensure Finance Operations strategies align with corporate goals, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while maintaining flexibility in delivery models.</li> <li>Lead modernization initiatives, leveraging digital transformation, optimizing automation, and implementing AI to streamline workflows and improve operational agility, yielding improved efficiency and reduced manual processes.</li> <li>Transform the art of the possible into reality. Think big, bold and across boundaries.</li> <li>Benchmark internal performance against industry standards and integrate best practices in internal controls, modernization, and planning.</li> <li>Adept at presenting ideas clearly and in a compelling manner to senior management as well as large and small audiences.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across the Finance Operations functions.</li> <li>Build collaborative relationships with leaders in Finance and throughout the organization.</li> <li>Champion a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and operational excellence across all Finance Operations disciplines.</li> <li>Collaborate with management and other functional directors to reallocate responsibilities dynamically based on organizational priorities and evolving business demands.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in Finance, Operations management, or a related field.</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> <strong>5+ years</strong> of experience in Operations, 3+ years in Finance, 5+ years in Leadership</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Ability to manage complex operations, improving efficiency, and driving insights</li> <li>Data Analytics</li> <li>Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and workflow tools.</li> <li>Process mapping &amp; reengineering (Lean, Six Sigma)</li> </ul> <li><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Visionary.&nbsp; Transform the art of the possible</li> <li>Highly collaborative with the ability to drive results</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills</li> <li>Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Strong presentation and communication skills</li> <li>Highly organized</li> </ul> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $124,200.00 - $175,800.00</p> <ul> <li>Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
