For more information, visit&nbsp;<u><a href="http://wpp.com/" data-outlook-id="2714312b-312f-4651-9f88-d8a4e47547bc">WPP.com</a></u>.</p></div><h3><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h3> <p>VML Enterprise Solutions is growing its technical pre-sales capability to support AWS-led growth across EMEA, with a focus on the UK and Ireland.&nbsp;We are looking for a hands-on technical expert who can prove the value of our AWS solutions through clear demos, high-impact POCs and scalable reference architectures.&nbsp;This role sits between AWS technology and VML delivery, supporting co-sell opportunities by removing technical doubt, proving feasibility and giving clients confidence we can deliver.&nbsp;You will work closely with Alliance Sales, Solution Leads and AWS teams across UKI and EMEA.</p> <h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3> <p>This is a technical pre-sales role focused on AWS co-sell across EMEA. You will lead demos, POCs and solution design, supporting opportunities from early engagement through to close.<br>Success is measured through delivery, including POCs completed, conversion to production, quality of architectures and impact on technical win rates.</p> <h3><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h3> <p><strong>Technical pre-sales and pursuit support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as the technical lead within account teams across AWS opportunities</li> <li>Deliver client-facing demos and lead proof of concept (POC) engagements</li> <li>Work closely with AWS Solution Architects and internal stakeholders</li> <li>Contribute to RFPs and SOWs by shaping technical content and solution scope</li> <li>Lead technical discussions and remove blockers to build client confidence</li> </ul> <p><strong>Architecture and assets</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create reference architectures for common AWS use cases</li> <li>Build reusable demo environments and technical assets</li> <li>Document best practice and stay current with AWS services</li> <li>Ensure solutions reflect GDPR, UK data residency and EU data sovereignty</li> </ul> <p><strong>Enablement and collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support delivery teams with technical guidance</li> <li>Share best practice and help build capability across EMEA</li> <li>Maintain AWS certifications and work closely with AWS technical teams</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Technical focus</strong></h3> <p>You will bring experience across several of the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Generative AI and machine learning, including Bedrock and SageMaker</li> <li>Data and analytics, including Amazon Marketing Cloud and Clean Rooms</li> <li>Customer experience platforms such as Personalize and Connect</li> <li>Modern application development using Lambda, Step Functions and APIs</li> <li>Integration patterns, including event-driven architecture and microservices</li> <li>Data governance, security and regional compliance</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What good looks like</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Delivering POCs that convert into production work</li> <li>Creating architectures that accelerate pursuits and can be reused</li> <li>Bringing credibility into client conversations and improving win rates</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Your background</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture or consulting</li> <li>Strong track record leading client-facing technical work and converting opportunities</li> <li>Comfortable shaping POCs and contributing to proposals</li> <li>Hands-on AWS experience with at least an AWS Solutions Architect certification</li> <li>Experience across data, AI or analytics on AWS</li> <li>Confident in communicating complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders</li> <li>Based in the UK with the right to work and open to EMEA travel</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Nice to have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Advanced AWS certifications</li> <li>Experience with generative AI use cases</li> <li>Exposure to marketing or advertising technology</li> <li>Understanding of regional regulatory frameworks</li> <li>Additional European language skills</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Role positioning</strong></h3> <p>This is a technical expert role focused on enabling co-sell success. It is not a quota-carrying sales role or a post-sale delivery position.
