<p>In Jikgu Engineering, our goal is to deliver a seamless end-to-end shopping journey — from product discovery and ordering through fulfillment and post-purchase support — while scaling Coupang's marketplace and logistics operations. We build core platforms and services that power Coupang's commerce engine and last-mile excellence. Various platforms under our portfolio include Marketplace Systems, Logistics Systems, Seller & Catalog Platforms, Order & Fulfillment Orchestration, and Customer Experience services spanning storefront, checkout, post-order, and customer care. ML opportunities across these portfolios include demand forecasting,inventory and capacity optimization, dynamic routing & ETA prediction, fraud and abuse detection, personalization of the shopping experience, intelligent customer support, and various others.<br><br><strong><span data-contrast="auto">What You Will Do</span></strong><strong><span data-contrast="auto"> </span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"134233279":true,"134245417":true}"> </span></p>
<p>As a Staff Engineer within Jikgu Engineering team, you will be instrumental in architecting and developing next-generation marketplace and logistics platforms. You will lead initiatives to ensure the platform delivers end-to-end commerce capabilities including Seller Onboarding, Catalog & Listing Management, Order Capture, Fulfillment & Delivery Orchestration, Returns & Refunds, Customer Support, and Experience Performance Measurement. Design a real-time decision engine to empower downstream services across the Marketplace and Logistics ecosystem. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing Coupang's data-driven capabilities, aligning technical innovation with strategic business objectives.</p>
<p><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"134233279":true,"134245417":true}">Actively work with team through the full lifestyle of solution, including platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing and deployment.<br>• Provide technical tips to other programmers in the team.<br>• Develop analytics with a mind toward accuracy, scalability, and high performance.<br>• Actively work with team to define, design, and develop software applications.<br>• Actively work with team to review the engineering design and drawing.<br>• Works cross-functionally with stakeholders to define and drive feature enhancements/requirements/prioritization.<br>• Set clear, measurable quality goals for the feature in a data-driven way.<br>• Have the obsession to drive a better customer experience through everything that we do here at Coupang.<br>• Raise the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity.</span></p>

<li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="16" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="3" data-aria-level="1">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree.<br>• 5+years software development experience<br>• 2+years hands-on experience with designing and developing on distributed architecture systems up to Tera/petabyte data handling using Open-Source software.<br>• Expert with one or more programming language such as Java/Python/Scala<br>• Understanding of architectural principles and design patterns/styles/using parallel large-scale distributed frameworks such as Hadoop/Spark<br>• Deep knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases such as HBase, MongoDB, Dynamo DB, Cassandra<br>• Demonstrates Broad knowledge of technical solutions, design patterns, and code for medium/complex applications deployed in Hadoop.<br>• Thorough understanding of service-oriented architectures and data processing in high-volume applications. Full SDLC experience (requirements gathering through production deployment)<br>• Experience with Artificial intelligence and machine learning technology is huge plus.<br>• Experience in Hadoop big data ecosystem is plus.</li>
