We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey. Right now, we’re searching for a Backend Developer, as part of our Account Sharing Prevention team, in our Stockholm office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change? 

The Role 

As a Backend developer at Viaplay Group, you’ll play a key role in building and shaping our backend production services. From design and development to testing and deployment, you’ll be involved in the full product lifecycle, helping us deliver high-quality, user-friendly experiences across our platforms.

What we’re looking for 

We are looking for a Mid-level Backend Engineer with solid experience building and maintaining production backend services. You should be comfortable working in a modern cloud-based environment and taking ownership of services from development to deployment and monitoring. You thrive in a high energy, team-driven environment where you love getting stuff done and having fun while you are doing it.

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Rust or willingness to learn

  • Eager to explore AI and committed to continuously evolving the craft alongside new tools and industry shifts

  • Experience with DynamoDB data modelling and performance considerations

  • Experience working with distributed systems or microservice-based architectures

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools or AWS deployment patterns
