From kernel to cloud, we provide high-impact software development services to Fortune 500 companies.<br><br>We are seeking an exceptionally talented&nbsp;<strong>Lead Backend Engineer</strong> to join our rapidly growing consulting team.&nbsp;In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects at the cutting edge of the software industry.<br><br></p> <table width="444"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="128"> <p><strong>Location</strong></p> </td> <td width="316"> <p>Fully Remote/ European Residence required</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="128"> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> </td> <td width="316"> <p>Salary</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="128"> <p><strong>Work Schedule</strong></p> </td> <td width="316"> <p>Full time/ Flexible working hours</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="128"> <p><strong>Reports to</strong></p> </td> <td width="316"> <p>Head of Engineering</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="128"> <p><strong>Member of</strong></p> </td> <td width="316"> <p>Engineering Team</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><strong><br>To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>10+ years development experience with backend technologies, including experience with modern backend architecture (i.e. microservices, etc.)</li> <li>Significant development experience with C#&nbsp;and .NET.</li> <li>Experience building and deploying solutions on cloud services (Azure preferred)</li> <li>Experience&nbsp;designing, building, and&nbsp;deploying&nbsp;scalable, distributed applications using independent services, focusing on APIs, containers, cloud platforms (Azure&nbsp;preferred), and CI/CD.</li> <li>Hands-on experience contributing to AI/ML-enabled products, such as integrating ML models or AI services into production backend systems (e.g., APIs, pipelines, inference services).</li> <li>Experience collaborating with ML/AI specialists&nbsp;to translate models into scalable, reliable backend solutions (deployment, monitoring, performance, data flow).</li> <li>Team Leadership and management experience</li> <li>Fast learner with a can-do attitude and exceptional problem-solving abilities</li> <li>Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working collaboratively on remote projects</li> <li>English skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English)</li> <li>A degree in computer science (or equivalent)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal candidates will also have:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a client-facing role managing and delivering software engineering projects</li> <li>Experience architecting solutions on modern backend platforms</li> <li>Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)</li> <li>Strong understanding of DevOps concepts/process and CI/CD tools</li> <li>Understanding of React.js and its core principles.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why join Janea?
