This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing systems while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions that enhance the user experience and support platform growth.</p> <p><strong>What Your Work Will Entail:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain the core backend architecture,&nbsp;ensuring it is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.</li> <li>Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and&nbsp;UX/UI teams to build seamless and integrated backend solutions that&nbsp;align with product requirements and&nbsp;user needs.</li> <li>Monitor and improve the backend system’s reliability, performance,&nbsp;and security, implementing solutions to handle high-volume requests&nbsp;and ensure smooth operation.</li> <li>Oversee database architecture and optimize queries, ensuring data&nbsp;integrity and performance while managing storage and scalability&nbsp;challenges.</li> <li>Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and&nbsp;well-documented code, promoting a culture of excellence in backend&nbsp;development.</li> <li>Evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to&nbsp;enhance the backend infrastructure and improve development&nbsp;efficiency.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring To This Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in backend software development.</li> <li>Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.</li> <li>Solid understanding of software architecture, backend design patterns, and scalable system design.</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining APIs, backend services, and database-driven applications.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance optimization.</li> <li>Understanding of application security and modern development best practices.</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.</li> <li>Experience using AI Agents and implementing and building AI tools and Agents.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Learn More About Piktochart:</strong></p> <p>Our team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
