About the role
This position allows you to join a fast-growing technology organization redefining productivity paradigms in the software engineering industry. If you are passionate about technology and want to learn about new trends shaping human behaviour, this opportunity is for you.
As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will drive the technical evolution of our backend services. Your primary mission will be to lead a large-scale observability migration and modernization project, contribute to our core product SDKs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient, high-performance solutions.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Lead a Platform Modernization Initiative: Drive the upgrade of approximately 25 critical services to a newer .NET version, enhancing performance, security, and maintainability.
- Spearhead an Observability Migration: Own the migration of service monitoring from Datadog US to Datadog EU, implementing OpenTelemetry to establish a standardized, vendor-agnostic observability framework.
- Enhance Core Product SDKs: Contribute to the development, updates, and maintenance of multi-language backend SDKs for our core Checkout system.
- Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision and maintain our AWS environments.
- Containerize and Deploy: Utilize Docker to containerize and deploy services on AWS ECS/Fargate, maintaining and supporting live environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- (Optional) Drive Data-Driven Insights: Take ownership of an optional project to enhance SLA reporting using Looker by designing and building pipelines using our modern data stack (BigQuery, SQL, DBT, Airflow).
Technology Stack:
- .NET (C#): MUST HAVE. Deep experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework applications and developing new services in .NET Core / .NET 5+.
- AWS Technologies: MUST HAVE. Hands-on experience with S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Infrastructure as Code: HIGHLY DESIRED. Proficiency in provisioning and managing cloud resources using Terraform.
- Observability & SRE: HIGHLY DESIRED. Proven experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus. Direct experience or strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry (OTel) is a major plus.
- Data Stack (for optional project): Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, SQL, DBT, or Airflow is a plus.
- Other Technologies: Other backend languages basic knowledge (JAVA, Python, Node.JS), Git (Github, Github Actions), Docker, CI/CD tools (e.g., Octopus, Jenkins), and various .NET testing frameworks.
What You'll Bring To Us:
- +7 years of professional experience with .NET (C#).
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining services on AWS.
- Strong, hands-on proficiency in Terraform.
- Experience in microservices architecture and familiarity with API creation and RESTful services.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to architect and propose well-thought-out solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
What We'll Offer You In Return:
- The chance to join an organization with triple-digit growth that is changing the paradigm of how software products are built.
- The opportunity to form part of an amazing, multicultural community of tech experts.
- A highly competitive compensation package.
