We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in Python and Django to develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of database design, cloud services, and modern software development practices.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and support RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Optimize Django ORM queries and improve application performance.
• Design and implement scalable API solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  

What You Need to Get the Job Done (Minimum Qualifications)

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Python and Django.
• Extensive experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Experience optimizing Django ORM queries and application performance.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, including:
  • API versioning
  • Pagination, filtering, and sorting
  • Error handling and idempotency
  • API documentation and maintenance
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.

Tools & Collaboration

• Experience using Git/GitHub for source control.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of backend development experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-level applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
