<p><strong>Senior Backend Engineer – Python</strong><br>Location: Indore, India</p> <p><strong>Summary:</strong> As a Senior Backend Engineer at Trivelta, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating core backend services for our online sportsbook and casino platforms. Your work will ensure transaction integrity, player account management, and compliance with regulatory reporting, operating within high-availability environments.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful and event-driven services in Python.</li> <li>Build backend systems supporting sportsbook, casino, wallet, and player lifecycle modules.</li> <li>Ensure data consistency, idempotency, and transactional integrity across services.</li> <li>Contribute to architectural decisions aligned with scalability and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Implement backend logic supporting AML, KYC, responsible gaming, and jurisdictional restrictions.</li> <li>Develop systems supporting audit trails, activity logging, and regulatory reporting.</li> <li>Integrate geolocation and access-control mechanisms to meet licensing conditions.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to data protection and privacy standards.</li> <li>Optimize backend performance for high-concurrency transaction environments.</li> <li>Implement secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.</li> <li>Contribute to monitoring, logging, and incident response processes.</li> <li>Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.</li> <li>Develop and maintain data pipelines for fraud detection, analytics, and reporting.</li> <li>Integrate with payment gateways, game providers, identity verification, and external compliance services.</li> <li>Ensure secure API communication with internal and third-party systems.</li> <li>Review code and enforce engineering standards.</li> <li>Mentor junior engineers and guide design discussions.</li> <li>Collaborate with product, compliance, risk, and DevOps teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of backend development experience in production environments.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Python for backend services and data processing.</li> <li>Experience building secure, scalable APIs in high-transaction systems.</li> <li>Solid understanding of database design, concurrency, and system reliability.</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD workflows and production deployment practices.</li> <li>Exposure to regulated industries such as fintech, payments, or iGaming is preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of AML, KYC, audit logging, or regulatory compliance frameworks is highly desirable.</li> <li>Effective communication and documentation skills.</li> </ul> <p>This is an On-Site role based in our Indore office. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a core part of the position.
