About the role
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Barista</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Café Leon Dore is looking for Part Time & Full Time Baristas to join the team in New York, reporting directly to the Café Manager. Our Baristas will be responsible for running all front of house operations whilst delivering an exceptional guest experience.</span></p>
<p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perform opening and closing procedures of the cafe i.e. dialing in the espresso for the day, brewing coffee and tea, dusting and cleaning all display cases and ensuring storefront is up to standard</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Showcase an excellent understanding of the menu, delivering food and beverages as per brand expectations</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain all café standards from opening to closing whilst adhering to relevant health and safety standards</span></li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Keen attention to detail</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrates a passion for exceptional customer service and experience</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Computer and till system experience </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Flexible working hours</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push and pull on a frequent basis</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to stand and/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 8 hours).</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to withstand exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to curbside, truck unload, etc.</span></li>
</ul>
