About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Support with direct services-i.e.- crisis support with behaviors, as needed, and triage with stakeholders.
- Train direct care staff, as needed.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency across settings. Serve as a liaison between YMCA program and the school based and other teams working with children and families.
- Work in collaboration with the YMCA social workers/SEL team
- Collect, analyze, and report behavioral data to inform interventions and program decisions.
- Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines and YMCA policies.
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and family consultations as scheduled.
- Provide consultation and coaching to program staff on implementing behavior strategies and supports.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field. BCBA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with children and youth with developmental, behavioral, or learning differences.
- Knowledge of ABA principles, positive behavior supports, and inclusive practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, child-centered environment.
- Must pass EEC background checks and meet YMCA child protection standards.
- Experience working with trauma informed practices.
- Experience working in school, after school, camp, or recreational settings.
- Part-time (approx. 10–15 hours/week depending on program needs). (during the school year). Daily onsite from approximately 3-6 pm and office support as needed. Schedule may be swapped to full time scheduling during the summer camp weeks.
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
