About the role
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs case management to facilitate the treatment plan process for clients referred for services. The primary role of the QMHS is managing an assigned caseload to provide Community Psychiatric Services and Treatment (CPST) and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) based on the medical necessity, consistent with clinical recommendation and client needs.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the confidentiality of records related to clients’ treatment, in compliance with all agency and legal standards.
• Interpersonal Competence: Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skill when working with both agency staff and clients.
• Time Management & Evidence-Based Practice: Employ excellent time management skills and an interest in using evidence-based approaches to support mental health care.
• Client Assignment and Monitoring: Receive client assignments in need of mental health services, monitoring behavior in alignment with treatment plan goals and individual needs.
• Client Record Familiarity: Review clients’ records to ensure effective services, including assessments, treatment recommendations, psychological reports, and assessments. Refer clients to social service agencies as appropriate.
• Intervention Provision: Deliver behavioral, case management, and skill-building interventions as identified in clients' individual service plans, adhering strictly to the scope of the position; therapeutic or counseling services are outside the scope of this role.
• Crisis Intervention Team Support: Support client’s mental health emergencies, adhering to established crisis intervention protocols.
• Professional Development: Stay current with new developments in the field through reading, attending courses and seminars, and networking with other social service agencies.
• Electronic Correspondence: Check emails daily, responding to administrative requests within a 2-hour window.
• Timely Documentation and Billing: Submit billing and related paperwork promptly, including progress notes within 24 hours from the service date for all clients.
• Case Documentation: Document all service contacts in a timely manner, including consultations with other professionals and updates to treatment plans, maintaining records per agency and regulatory standards.
• Interdisciplinary Meetings: Participate regularly in interdisciplinary staff meetings and training.
• Clinical Supervision: Attend supervision sessions with the Clinical staff as scheduled.

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a youth development focused social service environment (e.g., youth sports, recreation, supplemental education, mentoring, primary education, and youth resiliency skills development).
• Successful completion of ABHS New Contractor Orientation
• Successful clearance of applicable state and federal background registries (e.g.,
Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI); Ohio Abuser Registry; Ohio Audit Search, Exclusions Database)
