BHT Supervisor ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the<br>Program Director / BHT Manager and others as needed.<br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br>• Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides feedback on their performance.<br>• Orients and Trains new staff to unit and program.<br>• Assists with Interviewing and Hiring BHT’s.<br>• Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.<br>• Assists with employee corrective actions and development<br>• Develops employee schedule as applicable.<br>• Conducts employee performance evaluations as applicable.<br>• Assists with interventions with clients.<br>• Assists with confiscation and inventory management of client items.<br>• Evaluates training needs, department performance, system changes, and client concerns, etc.<br>• Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation and meetings<br>• Follows objectives of treatment plans.<br>• Schedules BHT’s to attend trainings.<br>• Attends facility meetings and coordinates BHT department meetings.<br>• Attends treatment team meetings, shift change and company meetings as required.<br>• Completes all required trainings.<br>• Other duties as assigned<br>Supervisory Responsibilities<br>Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team including, but not limited to, making daily rounds of the<br>facility.<br>Required Qualifications<br>Licensure, Education, &amp; Experience<br>• High diploma or equivalent required<br>• Previous clinical experience preferred<br>• Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience<br>• Current CPR, AED and First Aid, required<br>Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable<br>accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<br>• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills<br>• Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information<br>• Ability to handle a crisis and or potential risk situation and react appropriately<br>• A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body and compliance standards.<br>• Upholding staff code of ethics and therapeutic boundaries<br>Physical Demands<br>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is<br>regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.<br>The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up<br>to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities<br>required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability<br>to adjust focus.<br>Work Environment<br>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet &amp; indoors. This position will require local travel.<br>This position will be scheduled based on operational need &amp; will be required to provide own transportation.<br>Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment.
