Founded in 2017,</strong><strong>&nbsp;we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</strong></p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div></div><p></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Senior BESS Superintendent, EPC</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">The Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to lead and oversee project teams in the field, including in-house installers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with project goals. This role supports the deployment and installation of Redwood Material’s energy products such as BESS, associated infrastructure, and solar. To effectively manage operations, the Superintendent must be present onsite daily during active work periods. This hands-on presence enables direct oversight of day-to-day team activities, timely identification of issues, and comprehensive awareness of all onsite developments. In addition, the Manager is accountable for upholding rigorous quality standards and enforcing safe work practices across all project phases. While these oversight functions are essential, the role prioritizes proactive team management and performance optimization. &nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Responsibilities will include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Supervises assigned project work and coordinates between engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, budget, and schedule.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and production schedules while updating forecasts and adjusting work plans to mitigate project risks and production issues.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Reviews and interprets project specifications to support job setup, construction execution, inspections, and project closeout activities in accordance with company and AHJ requirements.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Manages site work, site access, medium to low voltage electrical work, and BESS installation &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Coordinates with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and regulatory agencies to ensure proper equipment, materials, inspections, and construction support are delivered on schedule.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Promotes and enforces strict safety, process control, and documentation standards related to operating equipment, electrical systems, transformers, generators, and overall jobsite operations.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Leads project alignment meetings, documents project activities, supports workforce development and training needs, and performs additional assignments as directed by management.&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">12+ years of construction supervision experience required preferably via General Contrator or Electrical Contractor (especially BESS and Commercial Solar Experience)&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Bachelor's Degree is a plus. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Valid Driver’s License. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">OSHA 30hr certified is preferred. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Strong written and verbal communication skills required. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience with 3D model reviews, Navisworks, clash reviews preferred. Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Willing to travel or relocate to project site for project duration preferred (projects in IL, MI, TX, &amp; future locations)&nbsp;</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">The position is full-time.
