About the role
We are seeking a highly professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to support a busy medical practice. This role requires someone with outstanding customer service skills, competent in handling both administrative and patient communication responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must have excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral accent, strong communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn medical procedures and workflows in order to confidently educate and assist patients.
Requirements
- Professionally manage inbound and outbound patient communications with exceptional customer service
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, confirmations, and calendar management
- Accurately maintain and update patient records within EMR/EHR systems
- Perform insurance verification and obtain required pre-authorizations in a timely manner
- Process and coordinate referrals while ensuring continuity of patient care
- Educate and guide patients regarding office procedures, services, and next steps
- Collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staff to support daily operations
- Ensure accurate documentation, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Deliver a warm, professional, and patient-focused experience in every interaction
Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $6 - $7 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM MST.
