This position ensures accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes while supporting attorneys and clients through the billing cycle.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare, edit, and finalize client invoices according to attorney instructions and client billing guidelines.</li>
<li>Maintain records relative to ADP WorkforceNow</li>
<li>Ensure proper coding of time entries and expenses.</li>
<li>Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve discrepancies or incomplete billing data.</li>
<li>Review invoices for compliance with client-specific billing rules and e-billing platform requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of e-billing systems and client portals (e.g., Serengeti, CounselLink, Tymetrix).</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with internal billing policies and legal industry standards.</li>
<li>Upload and manage invoices in electronic billing systems.</li>
<li>Monitor invoice status and proactively address rejections or disputes.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records in billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, Billblast).</li>
<li>Generate and distribute billing and accounts receivable reports.</li>
<li>Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting as it relates to billing.</li>
<li>Track unbilled time and expenses and follow up as needed.</li>
<li>Respond to attorney and client inquiries regarding billing matters.</li>
<li>Assist attorneys in forecasting and budgeting client billings.</li>
<li>Provide training and support to attorneys and staff on billing procedures.</li>
<li>Work closely with accounting, collections, and legal teams to streamline workflows.</li>
<li>Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance billing efficiency.</li>
<li>Support onboarding of new team members and contribute to documentation of billing procedures.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in legal billing or accounting roles, preferably within a law firm or legal department.</li>
<li>Familiarity with e-billing systems and client portals (e.g., Serengeti, CounselLink, Tymetrix).</li>
<li>Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, Billblast).</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal staff.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li>
