About the role
Kemet Corporation is seeking a skilled BIM Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Heliopolis, Cairo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating BIM mechanical models for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems while ensuring compliance with project requirements and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop BIM mechanical models using Revit for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
• Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for mechanical systems
• Coordinate with site and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment
• Review and update BIM models according to project standards and specifications
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
• Support project delivery through technical coordination and problem-solving
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and construction documentation
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–4 years of experience in mechanical systems design and coordination
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
• Experience with Navisworks is preferred
• Experience in preparing mechanical shop drawings
• Good understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively
