<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">Salary: </span></strong><span data-contrast="none">$20-$23 dependent on experience and skills </span></p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">Schedule: </span></strong><span data-contrast="none">Flexible Schedule, a mix of 7AM-3PM and 1PM-9PM shifts </span><span data-contrast="none">, weekends, and Holidays </span></p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>Operations & Facility Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee all daily kennel and boarding operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and scheduling.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized boarding environment in compliance with state and local regulations.</li>
<li>Monitor kennel capacity and coordinate reservations to optimize occupancy.</li>
<li>Ensure proper housing, feeding, exercise, and enrichment for all boarded animals according to individual care plans.</li>
<li>Manage supply inventory (food, bedding, cleaning products) and submit purchase requests as needed.</li>
<li>Implement and enforce infection control and sanitation protocols.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Team Leadership & Scheduling</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate kennel staff including technicians, assistants, and part-time attendants.</li>
<li>Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours, including weekends and holidays.</li>
<li>Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.</li>
<li>Address and resolve employee concerns in coordination with HR and Practice Management.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Animal Care & Medical Coordination</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Communicate closely with the veterinary team regarding any animals requiring medical attention or monitoring.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate documentation of daily observations, medications administered, and any behavioral concerns.</li>
<li>Verify vaccination requirements are met for all boarding patients prior to admission.</li>
<li>Recognize and respond appropriately to signs of illness, injury, or distress in boarded animals.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Client Relations</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for boarding clients, addressing questions, concerns, and special requests.</li>
<li>Provide compassionate and professional communication regarding pet care updates.</li>
<li>Handle and resolve client complaints in a timely and constructive manner.</li>
<li>Promote additional services such as grooming, training, and wellness packages.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a kennel, boarding, or veterinary environment.</li>
<li>Prior supervisory or management experience.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry, and basic health indicators.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in an active environment.</li>
<li>Comfort working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with practice management software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, EzyVet)..</li>
<li>Experience managing boarding facilities with 20+ runs.</li>
</ul>
