About the role
Responsibilities
- Managing Project (or R&D or Sustaining) Engineering activities by delivering Engineering Work Package in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitment.
- Representing Engineering among project core team and manages interfaces with stakeholders according to defined network and links.
- In front of customer is responsible to provide the global view of project progress, issues, and risks. For detailed technical discussions, PrEM can delegate to the proper team member (TSE, Expert…).
- In front of project partners is responsible to ensure that the inputs/outputs and design reviews are in-time, with the expected quality level.
- Providing to his management regular reporting and performance analysis trough the KPIs.
- Managing functionally the project engineering core team (System, Software, Validation, RAMS, V&V and quality) and their commitment for the project.
- Escalating to Sub-System Manager (Tilting & BMS) staffing issues (under-staffing, competences, subcontracting problems, under performance…).
- Owning engineering work package and is responsible for it.
- Following and updates baseline on a regular basis.
- Validate Variation Orders demands (external or internal) requested by project.
- Managing the Global Scheduling Convergence, with support of Engineering Planning Manager.
- Managing the Operational Quality to improve Project execution, with support of Engineering Quality Manager:
- Follow-Up Engineering quality issues.
- Manages engineering points within DFQ (Design For Quality) Gate Review checklists.
- Ensure the proper action plan execution to mitigate a No-Go risk.
- Managing Engineering risks mitigation and savings action plans:
- Provides to the System Project Manager all the inputs to update Risk Analysis Mitigation Plan (RAMP) and the Saving Action Management Plan (SAMP).
- Updates Engineering work package accordingly.
- Managing, communicating, and escalating on critical paths linked to Engineering.
Job Specifications
Requirements :
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- 1/2 years of experience as a technical Project Manager
- Knowledge of Software Project Management is a plus
- Knowledge English is a must
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
- Relationship management and teamwork
