About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Enter accounting and financial data into the company’s internal systems.
- Record invoices, receipts, payments, bank statements, and other financial documents.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness before entering them into the system.
- Update Excel files, internal reports, accounting databases, and other records.
- Verify entered information and report errors, missing information, or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized records of received and processed documents.
- Assist the Accounting Department with daily administrative and operational tasks.
- Support basic reconciliation of documents and transactions when requested.
- Prepare documentation for internal reviews, reporting, audits, or other accounting needs.
- Communicate with other departments to collect required documents and information.
- Follow internal accounting procedures, filing standards, and company deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, accounting, and company information.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, payments, bank statements, and financial records.
- Good data entry skills and ability to work accurately with numerical and financial information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with accounting software, financial systems, databases, electronic files, and scanned documents is preferred.
- Previous experience in data entry, basic accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, or document processing is an advantage.
- Candidates without prior experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with large volumes of documents.
- Ability to follow internal procedures, meet deadlines, and maintain complete and accurate records.
- Clear communication skills and ability to request clarification when documents or information are incomplete.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial, accounting, and company information.
