Program Model: Direct mentorship under office staff Training in city services Exposure to city council operations and legislative processes Active participation in community outreach initiatives Core Responsibilities: Constituent Services: Answering and directing constituent calls Learning to track and follow up on constituent concerns Maintaining organized records of constituent interactions Supporting constituent case management Social Media and Communications: Assisting with social media content creation Documenting community events and council activities Supporting the development of newsletters and updates Learning effective public communication strategies Event Planning and Support: Helping organize community meetings and events Supporting logistics for constituent meet-and-greets Assisting with event promotion and outreach Participating in event setup and management Professional Development: Training in office procedures and protocols Developing public speaking and presentation skills Enhancing professional writing and communication abilities Strengthening time management and organizational skills
