We are looking for a hands-on Design Lead to help shape how we show up in the world.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to build a high-visibility national brand that impacts how people power their lives. You will partner closely with the Creative Director to evolve our foundation into something recognizable, memorable, and worthy of the mission.</p> <p>We are looking for an executor who is ready to take ownership. If you have been honing your craft and are now looking to play a pivotal role in shaping a brand from the inside out, this is your chance to take things to the next level. You will have the autonomy to drive work from concept to execution, building in an early-stage, fast-paced environment to create a system that scales.</p> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">A Builder Across All Altitudes</span>: You welcome projects great and small. You are excited to lead high-visibility national campaigns, but you also take pride in the "nitty-gritty" day-to-day design work that keeps the engine running.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">A Hands-On Leader</span>: You may be a Senior Designer ready to step up, or a Design Director who misses the tools. What matters is that you love the craft, you sweat the details, and you lead through making.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">A Brand Shaper</span>: You don’t just execute tickets; you help define the visual voice. You prefer shaping a brand through tangible work rather than process decks.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">A Strategic Partner</span>: You will collaborate closely with Brand, Product, and Growth Marketing to ensure our visual storytelling is consistent, whether it's on a billboard or inside the app</li> </ul> <p>This role is in-person in our New York City office.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Evolve the Brand</span>: Execute and expand Daylight’s visual identity across marketing, product-adjacent, and storytelling touchpoints.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Drive Quality &amp; Output</span>: Translate creative direction into high-quality, shippable design work. You will maintain a consistently high bar for craft, taste, and cohesion.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Design for Impact</span>: Manage the full spectrum of production—from designing large-scale regional campaigns and product launches to maintaining our design systems.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Bring a Point of View</span>: Bring original perspective rather than defaulting to formulas. Stay current on culture, design trends, and emerging tools (including AI-powered workflows) to keep the brand fresh.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Direct &amp; Collaborate</span>: Create concepts and storyboards to support larger initiatives. When needed, you will direct external partners—including illustrators, motion designers, and studios—making thoughtful decisions on when to execute personally vs. when to leverage outside talent.</li> </ul> <h3>What we’re looking for</h3> <h4>| Must Haves</h4> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experience</span>: 5-7 years of professional design experience.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Visual Excellence</span>: Strong fundamentals across typography, layout, color, and composition.
