The European Commission is seeking Junior Business Analyst to support key initiatives related to research and innovation data management. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to analyse business needs and contribute to the improvement of processes and data flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document business requirements
- Support business model and business process analysis
- Contribute to the implementation of methodologies to track research results, including linking internal and external datasets
- Assist in data integration activities such as:
- Record linkage against authority tables
- Data validation
- Participate in technical and functional meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality standards in documentation and analysis
Profile requirements
• Analyse and document business requirements
• Support business model and business process analysis
• Contribute to the implementation of methodologies to track research results, including linking internal and external datasets
• Assist in data integration activities such as:
- Record linkage against authority tables
- Data validation
• Participate in technical and functional meetings with stakeholders
• Ensure high-quality standards in documentation and analysis
Desired Assets
- The ideal candidate should have approximately two years of experience
- Basic understanding of relational databases
- Familiarity with requirement analysis in the R&I domain
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools
- Basic knowledge of Python
- A critical thinker who can assess solutions with a logical approach
- Proactive, eager to learn, and team-oriented
- Comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Able to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment
