<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Redwood Materials is seeking a Business Applications Engineer to own the day-to-day administration of our Workday HCM platform and connected People systems. This is not a greenfield implementation role, but one that will be responsible for our existing tenant. They will be responsible for stabilizing what's broken, optimizing what is underbuilt, and creating scalable processes to allow the company's People, Payroll, and Recruiting teams to succeed. Equally important, this person will serve as the bridge between HR stakeholders and IT, translating business needs into system solutions.</span></p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Responsibilities will include:</span></strong></p>

<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own day-to-day Workday administration including security management (role-based and user-based), business process configuration, EIB loading, tenant management across environments, and end-user issue resolution.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Serve as primary owner for integrations in and out of Workday, including Greenhouse, GL, immigration and benefits vendors, and more, including configuration in Workday Studio and other integration tools as needed.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Lead biannual Workday release management by reviewing release notes in sandbox preview, assessing feature adoption value, coordinating regression testing, configuring required updates, and communicating changes to end users before each production release.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions by gathering requirements from HR, Payroll, and IT; set realistic expectations about system capabilities; and push back constructively when requests fall outside best practice or scope.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with leadership and stakeholders to set priority and timelines for optimizations and other projects.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain a documentation library covering active business processes, security configurations, integration specs, and end-user guides.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive Workday self-service adoption by identifying underutilized capabilities, delivering targeted training to HRBPs, managers, and Payroll, and reducing manual workarounds.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Conduct regular data integrity audits across Workday and connected systems; remediate discrepancies to maintain Workday as the trusted single source of truth.</span></li>
</ul>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Desired Qualifications:</span></strong></p>

<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">5–8 years of post-implementation Workday administration in a live tenant environment. Candidates whose experience is primarily large-firm greenfield implementation may not be the right fit.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on Workday configuration expertise (required): Core HCM required; two or more additional modules preferred (Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking).</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated experience with EIB (inbound and outbound), Report Writer, Custom Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, Business Process Framework, and role-based/user-based security administration.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Workday Studio experience strongly preferred.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong stakeholder translation skills with the ability to understand what HR and Payroll actually need, guide them to the right outcome, and push back diplomatically when appropriate.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Structured problem-solving ability to independently diagnose broken configurations, data issues, and integration failures using Workday Community and support resources.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Documentation discipline including process maps, user guides, and integration specs.</span></li>
<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 2;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Workday Pro Certification preferred; willingness and plan to obtain it required if not already held.</span></li>
