About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • To porospect, qualify, and research potential clients across assigned markets or segments
  • Assist in managing sales pipeline data in the CRM ( Salesforce), ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Prepare client‑facing materials, including presentations, proposals, and briefing notes, under guidance from senior team members
  • Conduct market and company research to support outreach strategies and client discussions
  • Coordinate and schedule introductory calls, demos, and follow‑up meetings with prospects
  • Track and report on sales activities, lead progress, and conversion metrics
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and research teams to ensure consistent messaging and value proposition
  • Support client onboarding and handover once deals are closed
  • Where appropriate, and depending on interest/ability, support the research and publications team in developing our long-term market outlook and analysis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Strong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition for opportunities that create impact and commercial success.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with uncertainty.
  • Excellent organization skills and a high degree of persistence and diligence.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed e.g. improving internal systems and processes.
  • Motivated by achieving tangible individual and team commercial targets.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded people.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of strong performance in team-oriented environments.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity about the energy transition
  • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish (C2 level)
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level)

  • Business development/sales background is highly valued.
  • Experience selling research or some form of subscription service.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
  • Previous professional exposure to energy economics, power markets and power networks would be an advantage.
