Position Overview
This a senior management role, responsible for overseeing engagements within an assigned portfolio of high-potential accounts and/or prospects.
This position plays a pivotal role in achieving the company’s strategic commercial objectives and demands a dynamic leader who excels at building long-term partnerships, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Innovation & Growth Officer, the role provides leadership to the account / business development management function and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organisation to maintain a strong focus on delivering innovative, client-focused solutions tailored to specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth & Revenue Generation: Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within assigned accounts and/or target prospects, driving account acquisition/expansion and increased revenue, in line with the company’s objectives.
- Client Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, proactively recommending solutions and services that add value to their business.
- Leadership: Provide direction and support to any assigned direct reports and/or cross-functional team members to help facilitate effective client interactions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, such as Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, Technical Presales and Service Delivery, and Finance to ensure a seamless customer journey from lead qualification to customer acquisition, to service delivery to billing.
- Planning & Forecasting: Develop and execute plans in line with company strategic objectives, and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract renewals and negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term client retention.
- Performance Monitoring: Track performance against targets, prepare regular reports, and present insights and recommendations to executive management.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity to anticipate client needs and inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology-related account/business development management
- Demonstrated track record of achieving growth targets and building strong client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in fast-paced, client-focused environments.
