BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (SAAS / HIGH TECH / SOFTWARE START-UPS)

HYBRID JOBS BASED GREATER LONDON – OTE c£200-250,000 PER ANNUM

 

Headquartered in Monaco but with bases in the UK and the US, VeUp VeUP is a VC tech fund and consultancy founded by experienced investors and tech executives. The VeUp fund exclusively targets hyper-growth technology businesses, with a particular focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The mission is to support SMES to growth and scale with focused SaaS consulting services, AWS resell capability and potential funding and investment.

 

VeUp is scaling up globally supporting a number of AWS ready SaaS businesses with their commercial growth and funding. VeUp is in a great position to accept highly qualified leads directly from AWS and form their internal work and research teams around up and coming AWS ready SaaS companies. In order to capitalise on an ever growing prospect list they now need to recruit new sales closing Business Development Managers to the London team.

Reporting into the VP for Global Sales, the Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the VeUP startup partner ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and close AWS reselling and consulting deals potentially up to £1m and beyond in size, across prospective start-up SaaS customers. Secondary, will be to help position and transfer new customers across to the Customer Success team. Key responsibilities in this role include:

 

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify startups that can benefit from VeUP investment, resell, and consulting services. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the startup landscape, including industry trends, competitors, and potential growth areas.
  • Establish and foster strong relationships with founders, executives, and decision-makers. Understand their business needs, challenges, and goals to effectively position VeUP investment, resell, and consulting services.
  • Proactively engage with startup customers to drive new customer acquisition to the VeUP portfolio of customers. Collaborate with the technical and go to market specialists to develop campaigns, solutions, and present compelling business cases to prospects.
  • Provide guidance, resources, and support to startup partners to help them effectively leverage AWS services. Conduct training sessions, webinars, and workshops to enhance their understanding of AWS technologies and solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AWS services, products, and solutions. Stay informed about updates, new features, and industry best practices to provide accurate and relevant guidance to startup partners

 

The ideal candidate is educated to degree level minimum (MBA preferred) in a business, finance, computer science or maths discipline. We are looking for hungry and ambitious Business Development Managers, Sales Executives, Solutions Selling Partners or Sales and Pre-sales Consultants selling consulting or SaaS based products and services as part of Tier One Tech ecosystems and partners/resellers. Some familiarity with AWS services and start-up programs or other Tier Tech One partner ecosystem, reselling or solutions sales is a distinct advantage. Above all, you actively seek and enjoy selling to C-suite level and closing deals; your character and track record confirms this.
