BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (SAAS / HIGH TECH / SOFTWARE SMES)

HYBRID JOBS BASED AUSTIN METRO – EXCELLENT OTE EARNING OPPORTUNITY AND UNCAPPED BONUS/COMMISSION

 

Headquartered in Monaco but with bases in the UK and the US, VeUp VeUP is a VC tech fund and consultancy founded by experienced investors and tech executives. The VeUp fund exclusively targets hyper-growth technology businesses, with a particular focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The mission is to support SMES to growth and scale with focused SaaS consulting services, AWS resell capability and potential funding and investment.

 

VeUp is scaling up globally supporting a number of AWS ready SaaS businesses with their commercial growth and funding. The company currently employs Business Development, Account Managers and Solutions Architects in Austin Texas and to enable to meet the forecast demand now needs to recruit a Business Development Manager(s) based in the Greater Austin metro.

 

Reporting into the VP for Global Sales, the Business Development Manager will play a critical role in sourcing and evaluating new venture opportunities, advising start-ups on fund raising strategies, and supporting portfolio start-ups with corporate development. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of the AWS reseller and start-up communities,  some knowledge of the North American venture capital climate, have experience working with SaaS and ISV technology start-ups, and thrives in highly ambiguous environments. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Identify and source new venture opportunities by building co-investment and corporate partnership ecosystems (VCs, accelerators, incubators, AWS start-up organization)
  • Engage the US venture capital community and create strategic partnerships that will enable a rich pipeline of new venture opportunities.
  • Establish strong relationships with start-up founders, executives, and decision makers. Understand their business needs, and effectively position VeUP investment, resell, and consulting services.
  • Consult start-up founders on fund raising strategies, incubate relationships for potential investment from VeUP’s Quadri Investment Fund.
  • Provide guidance to current VeUP partners on methodologies to drive growth and enhance valuation.
  • Maintain deep understanding of venture capital trends, best practices, competitive landscapes, and new technologies. Provide accurate and relevant guidance to start-up partners.

 

The ideal candidate is educated to degree level minimum (MBA preferred) in a business, finance, computer science or maths discipline. We are looking for hungry and ambitious Business Development Managers, Solutions Selling Partners or Sales and Pre-sales Consultants selling consulting or SaaS based products and services as part of Tier One Tech ecosystems and partners/resellers. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and start-up programs or other Tier Tech One partner ecosystem, reselling or solutions sales is a distinct advantage.
