About the role
Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a growing construction firm.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving growth in the construction sector. You will work closely with project teams and management to develop proposals that meet client needs and align with company objectives. Your ability to connect with clients, understand market trends, and position the company effectively will be key to expanding the business.
The ideal candidate will possess a sales background in either construction, the leisure industry,(ie the hotel sector) or similar and have a proven track record in business development.

Responsibilities
- Identify and target new clients and business opportunities within the construction and leisure industries.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and bids to potential clients.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with operational capabilities.
- Monitor project performance and client satisfaction to drive repeat business.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to elevate the company’s profile.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or a related field is ideal but not essential.
- Proven experience in business development within the construction / leisure industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, procurement, and project management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Must hold a full UK driving licence

Basic £40,000 pa to £60,000 pa OTE + excellent benefits package + Bonus
