About the role

Position Overview: We are seeking a Business Development Senior Manager/Director to lead our Ticketing, Transportation, and Cruise vertical for Singapore and Malaysia (plus HK/CN/MO for Director-level). This role focuses on scaling inbound and domestic APAC travel. Candidates must have deep experience in the attractions or travel agency (OTA/Traditional) sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute business strategies that prioritize growth and positive customer ratings. 
    • Identify and analyze market trends and competitor activities to pinpoint business opportunities. 
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead BD teams to ensure goals are conveyed clearly and initiatives driven by the BD teams achieve targets 
    • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that team goals are aligned with counterparts goals to achieve win win situations 
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including travel agencies, cruise operators, and other relevant stakeholders. 
    • Understand client needs and tailor KKday offerings accordingly. 
  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Generate new sales campaigns and work with the marketing team to convert them into bookings. 
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize profitability with cruise suppliers
    • Monitor sales progress and ensure that corporate goals are being met. 
    • Innovate product bundling or Value adds to improve sales and profit revenues. 
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and customer segments. 
    • Analyze market data and trends to inform business development strategies. 
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience. 
    • Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives. 
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue. 


Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the cruise industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Attraction, Travel agency or Cruise operator experience or knowledge is a plus. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or sale of travel products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
