<p>Edison Scientific builds and commercializes AI agents for science. Scientific discovery moves too slowly, and autonomous AI agents are how we intend to fix that. We're assembling a team of top researchers and engineers across AI and biology to build an AI scientist.</p>

<h3><strong>Role</strong></h3>
<p>We’re looking for an exceptional <strong>Business Development Representative </strong>to support our commercial growth with biotech companies and academic organizations. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to contribute to the future of science.</p>
<p>You’ll work directly with leadership, product, and engineering teams to bring Edison Scientific to market, close early customers, and turn learnings into repeatable processes.</p>
<p>This role is on-site at our San Francisco office in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Our office is a converted warehouse with high ceilings, open space, and a team that genuinely believes in what they're building.</p>
<p>This position is part of the Business Development team.</p>

<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Engage with biotechnology and academic accounts, translating complex capabilities into clear value.</li>
<li>Own the full revenue generation cycle: prospect, discover, solution, negotiate, and close.</li>
<li>Partner closely with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and assist in helping shape the roadmap.</li>
<li>Help define ICP, messaging, pricing, and business development process in an early-stage environment.</li>
<li>Build trusted relationships with early customers and turn them into long-term partners.</li>
<li>Contribute to go-to-market strategy as we scale from early adopters to broader adoption.</li>

<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>4-6 years of experience in business development, ideally in SaaS, data, developer tools, or scientific/technical platforms.</li>
<li>Experience selling complex or technical products to sophisticated buyers, ideally in life sciences.</li>
<li>Comfort operating in early-stage, ambiguous environments with little existing structure.</li>
<li>Strong discovery and storytelling skills- you can connect technical detail to business impact.</li>
<li>Builder mindset: you enjoy creating processes, not just following one.</li>
<li>High integrity, curiosity, and genuine interest in advancing science or healthcare.</li>
<li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving progress in 0→1 environments.</li>
</ul>

<li>Advanced degree in biology, bioengineering, computational biology, or related field.</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Salary</strong></h3>
<p>$200,000- $250,000 OTE (50/50 split) • Offers equity</p>
