<p>Backed by Greylock and Y Combinator, fully remote since 2018.</p></div><p>As a <strong>Business Development Representative (BDR)</strong> at Postscript, you'll be on the front lines, identifying, engaging, and making initial connections with ecommerce businesses ready to unlock significant growth through SMS. You'll be a vital ambassador for our brand, product, and company, playing a direct role in our continued success. Your day-to-day will involve building targeted account lists, sparking new opportunities through thoughtful and creative outreach, and ensuring a smooth hand-off to our Account Executives once you've qualified the prospect.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>This is a fully remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in North America.</strong></p>
<h2>Primary duties</h2>

<li><strong>Identify and qualify</strong> ecommerce brands that align with our ideal customer profile and demonstrate a strong potential for growth with Postscript.</li>
<li><strong>Consistently achieve and exceed</strong> your targets for generating qualified new business opportunities.</li>
<li><strong>Skillfully utilize</strong> a range of tools and technologies to research, identify, and connect with potential customers. You'll be encouraged to think creatively and resourcefully in your outreach efforts.</li>
<li><strong>Professionally represent</strong> Postscript's product, brand, and company in every interaction, clearly and concisely articulating how we can help ecommerce businesses thrive.</li>
<li><strong>Maintain exceptional standards</strong> for timeliness, responsiveness, and diligent follow-up with prospects.</li>
<li><strong>Accurately manage</strong> your activities and pipeline within Salesforce CRM, ensuring all sales data is consistently updated.</li>
<li><strong>Build foundational relationships</strong> with prospective customers, setting the stage for their future success with Postscript. You'll work closely with Account Executives to collaboratively nurture these early-stage opportunities.</li>
<li><strong>Continuously learn</strong> about our customers' marketing strategies, technology landscape, and broader business objectives.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborate with</strong> members of the Go-to-Market (GTM) team to contribute to the refinement of our sales process.</li>
<li><strong>AI-Enhanced Personalization:</strong> Leverage AI tools to analyze prospect data (e.g., LinkedIn activity, earnings reports, or tech stack changes) to craft hyper-personalized outreach at scale, moving beyond generic templates to drive higher response rates.</li>
<li><strong>Workflow Automation & Optimization:</strong> Utilize AI-powered sales tools to automate administrative tasks—such as CRM data entry, meeting summarization, and lead prioritization—freeing up more time for high-value strategic research and live prospect engagement.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What We’ll Love About You</h2>
<ul>
<li>1+ years of B2B sales development experience, preferably in a SaaS, marketing technology, or a related domain</li>
<li>Experience with a variety of sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, or Gong</li>
<li>You possess a natural ability to build rapport and make initial connections with people.</li>
<li>You pay close attention to details and approach tasks in an organized and solution-oriented way.</li>
<li>You're developing your ability to prioritize tasks and think strategically about engaging with different businesses.</li>
<li>You're eager to learn how to create value for customers and understand their business goals.</li>
<li>You're motivated to meet and exceed expectations and have a genuine desire to learn and grow in a sales role.</li>
<li>An interest in or basic understanding of ecommerce is a plus.</li>
</ul>
