About the role
Your Role
- Assist in reviewing, preparing, formatting, editing and proofreading legal documents;
- Develop rapport with internal business units and supporting functions and be aware of their business objectives and needs;
- Translation of legal documents from English to Chinese or vice versa;
- Business and legal research;
- Provide secretarial support to the team, as and when necessary; and
- Draft/revise less complicated/standard agreements and other simple legal documents both in English and Chinese.
To Succeed in this Role
- Associate degree or above in Translation, English or related disciplines;
- Preferably with prior working experience in law firm or in-house legal team;
- Familiar with legal documents and terminology;
- Mature and attentive to details;
- Good negotiating and problem-solving skills, solution oriented;
- Good business acumen;
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and different business units/supporting functions; and
- Able to work with minimal supervision, well–developed organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to work under time pressure and be pro-active with positive attitude.
