Butchery Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our New World Durham Street leadership team as our Butchery Manager.
Join our industry-leading Butchery team and help us deliver exceptional service and quality to our customers in the heart of Christchurch! We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Butcher to step into a full-time leadership role. Whether you're an experienced Butcher looking to grow into a leadership role or already have management experience, this could be the opportunity for you.
The days for this position are Tuesday to Saturday with hours to be discussed at interview stage.

Our Butchery is a cornerstone of our Fresh Foods Court, known for top-quality cuts, expert craftsmanship, and friendly service. We pride ourselves on delivering a unique experience that keeps customers coming back.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the team, daily operations and stock control
- Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards
- Ensuring high standards of meat preparation, food safety, health and safety and presentation
- Achieving financial and operational KPI’s
- Training and mentoring staff
- Helping maintain a strong customer-focused culture
- Assisting in ordering, stock rotation, and waste management

- A qualified Butcher with a passion for fresh food
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Excellent customer service and communication
- High attention to detail and presentation
- Creativity and innovation in fresh food offerings
