A Fender is more than an instrument; it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally.</p> <p>We are searching for a <strong>Buyer</strong> to join our team in Shenzhen. The Buyer will be accountable for providing sourcing assistance and pricing analysis on components to support the Shenzhen operation.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services.</li> <li>Work with vendors to obtain price, availability, and delivery schedules, verify parts, quantities, price and Lead time on order confirmations, maintain status on orders, and make adjustments when required and approved.</li> <li>Review and process requisitions in a timely and accurate manner.</li> <li>Follow up on back orders.</li> <li>Escalate critical shortages and supply chain issues to management.</li> <li>Manage suppliers in order to maintain a free flow of information, material and handle other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Work closely with planners to clarify expectations and create purchase orders.</li> <li>Work closely with Finance to resolve billing and payment issues.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Microsoft Office Suite skills (in particular, Word, Excel, Access).</li> <li>SAP knowledge required</li> <li>Strong attention-to detail and organizational skills.</li> <li>Excellent ability to read and write in English</li> <li>Preferred: Bachelor’s degree</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Expeditor position or similar experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Fender Musical Instruments:</strong></p> <p>Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel® and Groove Tubes®, among others.&nbsp;</p>
